.SYNOPSIS...
Seasonal temperatures will continue through Wednesday with night
and morning coastal low clouds covering much of the valleys.
Warmer conditions with above average temperatures expected for
Thursday and Friday. An influx of tropical moisture this weekend
will bring a chance of showers, with highest chances in the
mountains. Cooling trend is expected Saturday through early next
week.

SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

Seasonal conditions with minimal changes in temperatures expected
through Wednesday. Night and morning low clouds will extend well
inland across much of the valleys. High temperatures will range
from the mid to upper 60s near the coast to the upper 70s to upper
80s for the Inland Empire with the upper 90s to around 100 for
the lower deserts.

High pressure will build across California bringing warming for
Thursday and Friday. The heat will peak on Friday with high
temperatures as much as 10 to 15 degrees above average for the
Inland Empire. Chances for high temperatures in the Inland Empire
to exceed 100 degrees on Friday are 20 to 40 percent, locally 70
to 90 percent in eastern portions of the Inland Empire. Chances
for the High Desert to exceed 100 degrees is up to 75 percent for
areas north of Victorville and near Barstow. For the low desert
there is a 20 to 40 percent chance of temperatures exceeding 105
degrees Friday.

For the weekend, a closed upper level low pressure system off the
Pacific Coast of northern and central Baja may draw some tropical
moisture northward and then northwestward across the area. If the
closed low behaves as currently advertised, high temperatures
should be a few degrees lower although it might feel muggy with
the moisture influx. In addition, there is a chance of showers
for the weekend. The best chance is on Sunday for the mountains,
with a NBM chances of measurable rain 35 to 45 percent. Elsewhere
chances are 20 to 30 percent. Chances on Saturday are currently 10
to 25 percent across the area, highest chances in the mountains.
There still remains some uncertainty in the details surrounding
timing of precipitation and amounts.

By Monday, a trough of low pressure is expected to dig south from
the Pacific Northwest. There is still some uncertainty in the
details of the trough`s track but cooler conditions look likely.
By Tuesday high temperatures may be as much as 10 to 15 degrees
below average for the mountains. In addition to cooler conditions
there will likely be an increase in westerly winds and cloud
coverage.

.AVIATION...
271945Z...Coasts/Valleys...This morning`s low clouds have cleared
out nicely, but some clouds are already reforming across southern
coastal San Diego County. These clouds may bring occasional BKN
CIGs to KSAN and possibly KCRQ before 00z. Otherwise, better
confidence in more widespread CIGs to expand in coverage after 00z
beyond southwestern San Diego County, eventually spreading
northward and inland through Orange County and the Inland Empire
by 09-12z. Bases will be similar to this morning (1700-2200ft
MSL), with clearing expected 17-20z Wednesday morning.

Otherwise...mostly clear skies and VFR conditions today and
tonight.
